Symptom: Ubuntu Screen freeze at boot and/or never reach the login screen.
Solution:
Press Esc and choose Recovery Mode when boot (sometimes you have to choose Manual recovery after a bunch of question) and at root shell prompt type:
dpkg –configure -a
