Got this error when I plug a usb stick on my newly installed Slackware 12.2 machine (Axioo TVS laptop)

This is how I fix it :

I add my username (‘rumy’ in this case) on plugdev group (/etc/group), restarting messagebus and hald (/etc/rc.d/rc.messagebus and /etc/rc.d/rc.hald) and Voila! everything works fine.
